Over-The-Counter Hair Loss Products

Posted by Kenny On January - 7 - 2011

There is not a single specific cure for hair loss, as we know. yet, there are numerous products ranging from medications, shampoos, and topical hair loss preparations existing for individuals with hair loss. These outcomes however, are not confirmed scientifically. Nevertheless, established results from customers have become sources of the proofs of their usefulness. Unfortunately, these effects are restricted only when these products are being used.

The two drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration are Minoxidil and Finasteride. Initially, these drugs were known to treat hypertension and benign prostate enlargement, respectively. However, over time, patients using the products are seen to develop lessened hair thinning and increased hair growth. Here are details of these drugs and their effects on hair loss prevention.

Minoxidil is an ingredient in two top hair loss products specifically Loniten and Rogaine that are now presented as over-the-counter products for thinning hair. Rogaine comes in a topical ointment preparation that is suggested to be used on the affected area twice daily. While Loniten, is administered as a pill. Minoxidil is known to increase blood flow to scalp thus promotes new and increased hair growth.

Finasteride - an artificial anti-androgen that performs by slowing down the creation of type II 5-alpha reductase, the enzyme that is in charge of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone alteration. According to study, DHT is accountable for hair loss. Consequently, Finasteride  was FDA approved for treating thinning hair and hair loss, especially for the male pattern baldness commonly known as receding hair line. Propecia, a brand name of Finasteride is orally taken as hair loss medication. Yet, permanent and constant use is required for these hair loss treatments to stop hair loss. It is not suitable for pregnant and menopausal women.

Other known hair loss treatment options available today are Retin-A, Graftcyte, and Avodart (Dutasteride). For a natural approach, there are also vitamins for hair loss that can be effective at slowing hair loss.

Where To Find Hair Loss Shampoo

Posted by Kenny On December - 3 - 2010

If you need to buy hair loss shampoo you probably have already learned that it is not easy to find. I remember the first time I tried to buy my first supply and I know it was not easy. I was already in a bad mood since I was not ready to accept the fact that I was losing my hair. I was too young for this, but the reality of the situation was that I needed to find a way to reverse this process as soon as possible. I was a young single guy and I really didn't want the women I met to count my hair, or lack thereof, against me.

I had learned that hair loss shampoo was the best route for any young man like myself to take. There are a multitude of products and ideas out there, but I can tell you that most of them are overpriced, over hyped, or just plain too drastic for a guy like me. What were my options? Where a wig? Undergo some expensive surgical procedure? There was no way I was ready to take those steps so it was quite easy to decide on trying hair loss shampoo.

The problem was that I could hardly find one brand in the store, and if they did have it I had nothing to choose from. I like to compare and contrast when I buy a new product. This is why the internet is the perfect place to purchase shampoo for hair loss. I can browse reviews and always find the best prices when I take some time to search online from the comfort of my own home. They definitely had the best options and buying online helped me get what I needed fast at a low price. I'm thankful since it worked really well and I can no longer find the bald spot that was once there.

Keep Your Hair Healthy With Vitamins for Hair Growth

Posted by Kenny On October - 29 - 2010

Healthy hair will generally stay attached to your scalp. This is why it's important to add nutrients into your diet to maintain this health of your hair and use vitamins for hair growth. There are many nutrients your body needs to regulate the growth of your hair and maintain the health of your scalp.  If you want to keep all your hair healthy as can be, it's ideal to eat the optimal amount of nutrients so that you will be able to provide your body with the amount of protein, carbohydrates and limited amount of fat that it requires.

With that being said, if you're concerned with the amount of hair you leave behind on your hairbrushes or combs, maybe even the bathroom sink, it might be the time for you to eat more healthy foods and even omega 3 fatty acids. There are four foods that are known to contain a high amount of fatty acids. These are soy, fish, canola oil and walnuts. Just because you're concerned about hair loss does not necessarily mean that these are the only foods you should be consuming.

One other factor you need to consider is whether you are consuming enough iron wit the diet you currently have. Having little iron in your body has been shown to result in less hair. This is why it's so crucial to include it in a consistent diet. Some foods that have the iron you need include yeast, spinach, eggs, liver and broccoli. Try to add these foods  to everything you eat.

If your diet doesn't seem to be working, give it some time. If it still doesn't show results, consider using a few hair growth products. These produces will attempt to supplement  the right amount of minerals and vitamins your body needs for day to day activity and health. These are meant to substitute the nutrients you might not be getting through the foods you eat.

Most of these produces are known as "complex."This basically means that they are complicated substances that don't just work in one specific way. This is why it's so hard to explain why they work.
