If you are like me you may have started to get a little thin on top and not even know it.  Or maybe you have noticed the hair line retreating from your forehead over the last couple of years.  I really never realized how much hair I had lost until a trip to Hawaii opened my eyes.  Actually, it wasn’t the trip so much as the pictures we took on the vacation.  One night, back on the mainland, we were looking at the photos and a shot of the top of my head happened to come up.  I was almost completely bald.  Actually it looked worse than it was because I was swimming so my hair was not fluffed up but still I was going bald.

There is no way I wanted to look like my dad or worse yet my brother who was completely void on top by the time he was thirty.  I made a vow to find out which hair restorer really worked.  I did a lot of research and found out there are only two drugs which have been authorized by the US FDA for the treatment of male pattern baldness.  These are Finasteride, which is only sold by prescription and has the potential for nasty side effects; and Minoxidil which is purchased over the counter.

I decided to try a generic form of Minoxidil and I am very happy with the results.  My wife says the spot is all gone and she is upset because she doesn’t have anything to tease me about any more.  I apply the liquid twice a day, in the morning and night, and that is all there is to it.

I have stopped losing my hair and I have actually had some hair grow back in.  This is not a permanent cure because I will have to use it as long as I want my hair to grow, but it is much better than being called chrome dome, or bald eagle. There are also some hair restorer natural products like saw palmetto but for now I am happy with what I am using.
