Having a Bad Hair day?

Posted by saurabh.sahni280691 On January - 30 - 2011

Professionals say that less than twenty five percent of the female know their face shape and skin tone they have. Knowing your face shape will let one have a perfect hair cut. For a perfect hair color one has to know about the exact skin tone she possesses.  Most of the women are confused when it comes to picking up a perfect hair style that will enhance her image.

One may have lots of hair which will make them think that they have thick hair. But one has to consider the radius of each strand. So when you pick a black hair style for thick hair, you are asking for trouble. Whatever hair accessories you put on them they will still appear ugly. Here we listed some factors that often mislead people to a wrong hair style…..

1. Blow drying: Almost all women’s hair look better when they are given a bit of volume. Just be careful about blow drying. Never blow dry your hair front to back nut, be habituated with back to front drying, bring your hair up with the help of a round brush, for more volume you may use a vent brush. Keep blow drier 12 inch away from your scalp and always keep it moving.

2. Use protection: Always Use thermal protector spray with blow drier, electric curlers and curling irons. Without thermal protector spray your hair will be vulnerable to heat. Heat can cause serious damage to your hair. So for safety just spray it all over the head and distribute it evenly using a comb.

3. Make a right choice: Since most of the women do not know their hair type, most of the time the products they buy for hair and wrong product is a serious threat to your. You may think that your hair is curly but what is the hair texture? Is it coarse, fine or medium? Is it color treated wavy, straight or thinning? Should you use thick gel or light mousse? May be you need a combination of two product to get a better result. If you are not sure about your hair type ask some hair stylist but never use products that do not suit your hair. May be you need a combination of two product to get a better result.

4. Never use too much chemicals: Once you have found your perfect hair style you do not need a great deal of chemical product to use on your hair. With a perfect hair cut your hair itself will take a perfect shape. If you jam your hair with too much dime products your will appear wet and it will behave like a dust magnet.

5. Don’t take too long in between hair cuts: With a perfect hair style you will look perfect. But obviously your hair will grow out soon and it will lose the shape. So don not wait too long for the next hair cut because if you don’t take 2nd hair cut within 4/5 weeks of first one you will have to start all over again.

Managing Oily Hair

Posted by Kenny On January - 28 - 2011

Most people think that oily hair is caused by an oily scalp but this is not true. A dry scalp is the reason why many have oily hair problems. A dry scalp causes oil glands to produce excessive oil, which in turn makes your hair oily. These are some tips that will help to manage your oily hair problem.

Dry shampoo is a great way to gently help control oily hair. This powder is applied to your scalp and instantly soaks up the oils sitting on your head to make your hair look dry. The best dry shampoo reviews indicate that these products are also great for adding some volume and life to hair. This is convenient because oily hair tends to be quite limp. Try a product like Rockaholic dry shampoo if you are suffering from oily hair.

When it comes to washing your hair the traditional way, choosing a shampoo that is suitable for your hair type and that has special formulations to treat oily hair and a dry scalp will go a long way towards improving things. Shampoo every other day if possible to prevent hair from being dry and stripped of its natural oils. Apply shampoo away from the scalp to prevent further drying out.

Another thing you can do is try to use fewer hair styling products because this can lead to oily hair due to the increase of oil build-up in your hair. When washing your hair, make sure to rinse it properly to remove the excess oil. Conditioners also are a factor that causes oily hair. Use these products sparingly if you have oily hair because they can make your scalp dry and cause it to produce even more oil to compensate.

For those who really have a big oily hair problem, a vinegar rinse will help. Rinse your hair with a solution made from a mixture of one part vinegar to four or five parts water and the extra oil in the hair will be removed. If the smell of vinegar is too strong for you, diluted lemon juice will have the same results.

Eating fatty and oily foods can cause oily hair. Make sure that your diet consists of fresh vegetables and fruits and that your fluid intake is high to avoid high levels of bodily oils. Not only does a healthy diet provide you with a healthy body but healthy hair too.
Learn to manage your hair properly and you will soon see great results. For lasting oil-free hair, proper care and maintenance will be required. Take good care of your hair and you will be rewarded with healthy, shiny, oil-free hair!

Healthy Hair Tips

Posted by Kenny On January - 14 - 2011

Want healthier, shinier hair? For most people, it takes some effort. The usual hair styling tools, hair care products and the environment are pretty much the perfect recipe for healthy hair disaster. Following some top healthy hair tips can help you eliminate some of the sources of damaged hair.

Hair does not get healthier than right after a fresh trim. This is definitely the safest, cheapest and most natural way to keep your hair healthy. After chemicals from color and hairspray do their dirty work; the heat from flat and curling irons finishes off the job leaving dry and damaged ends. Although many products claim to hold the magic key to hair restoration the truth is split ends need to be cut off and to avoid them the daily processes we put our hair through need to change.

Here are some hair care tips to help you maintain healthier hair; put the curling iron down and the over night curlers on. Putting your ends in curlers takes probably as long as curling it with an iron but overnight curlers assure your locks will stay locked longer. Curlers are an inexpensive one-time purchase and the sponge ones are easy to sleep in.

Believe it or not another great hair care tip is to wash it about every other day. With this said washing our hair every other day allows our scalp’s natural oils to nurture our hair, washing them out daily is likely to cause dry hair or even dry scalp. Yes, many of us are used to our daily shampooing but the truth is that our scalp creates its own natural oils and these are better than any synthetic ones.

By far the most damage to our hair comes from over treating it, over styling it and over processing it. So, for your best chance at getting healthy looking hair, keep it simple and natural - by doing that, the healthy hair will surely grow in.

While most of the subsequent suggestions may not change you altogether as if you have gotten your own cosmetologist, the tips will lead you to look the very best that you can every single day. When dealing with hair care, bear in mind that you show it every single day. Now isn’t it definitely worth the precious time, work and resources it entails to keep it staying exquisiteness?

Our initial suggestion is to apply hair color to attain radiance and body. Every hair cut requires a small amount of hair coloring to make it ultimately splendid. Regardless of whether your inclination is subtle or brazen, you will pique sheen as well as volume to your tresses with highlights. Semi-permanent hair color, lowlights, highlights, gray coverage, you select it, they're all beneficial to your persona.

Consider using an ionic ceramic straight iron. As a departure from burning your locks with a traditional metal plated flat iron, straighten your locks, add sheer and augment moisture with one of the negative ionic straightening irons.

Did you know that whenever you use a towel after your shower to dry your tresses, you may well be developing split ends and therefore infusing static electricity into it? Don’t rub the towel up and down over it, sling the towel around it just as you would normally wring crackers in your broth.

And finally and perhaps most critical, purchase the hairstyling products intelligently. Steer clear from hair care products that deposit build-up on it. If you spot white deposits, that usually means your product is just not water-soluble and could be plastering mane. Residue causes limpness, dryness and also incapacity to curl not forgetting the white flakes.

Wen hair care is a fantastic hair care line to avoid the deposit. The Wen Cleanser, which is also a leave-in-conditioner, doesn't cause a slick lather and has no many of the detrimental substances stored in regular shampoos and conditioners. This nourishing hair care shampoo can take away the harm of lengthy use that old-fashioned shampoos produce.

Over-The-Counter Hair Loss Products

Posted by Kenny On January - 7 - 2011

There is not a single specific cure for hair loss, as we know. yet, there are numerous products ranging from medications, shampoos, and topical hair loss preparations existing for individuals with hair loss. These outcomes however, are not confirmed scientifically. Nevertheless, established results from customers have become sources of the proofs of their usefulness. Unfortunately, these effects are restricted only when these products are being used.

The two drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration are Minoxidil and Finasteride. Initially, these drugs were known to treat hypertension and benign prostate enlargement, respectively. However, over time, patients using the products are seen to develop lessened hair thinning and increased hair growth. Here are details of these drugs and their effects on hair loss prevention.

Minoxidil is an ingredient in two top hair loss products specifically Loniten and Rogaine that are now presented as over-the-counter products for thinning hair. Rogaine comes in a topical ointment preparation that is suggested to be used on the affected area twice daily. While Loniten, is administered as a pill. Minoxidil is known to increase blood flow to scalp thus promotes new and increased hair growth.

Finasteride - an artificial anti-androgen that performs by slowing down the creation of type II 5-alpha reductase, the enzyme that is in charge of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone alteration. According to study, DHT is accountable for hair loss. Consequently, Finasteride  was FDA approved for treating thinning hair and hair loss, especially for the male pattern baldness commonly known as receding hair line. Propecia, a brand name of Finasteride is orally taken as hair loss medication. Yet, permanent and constant use is required for these hair loss treatments to stop hair loss. It is not suitable for pregnant and menopausal women.

Other known hair loss treatment options available today are Retin-A, Graftcyte, and Avodart (Dutasteride). For a natural approach, there are also vitamins for hair loss that can be effective at slowing hair loss.

A Living Legend Teena Marie Remembered – RIP

Posted by Kenny On January - 5 - 2011

When Teena Marie hit the music scene I was a young boy just starting out in this world but even during this time Teena Marie 's music touched my heart.  Her voice was soulful, high pitched with a twang all of her own and I LOVED it.  One of her songs that really spoke to me with Fire and Desire which featured Rick James.  I just enjoyed the story and could picture it as they went through each verse.  Their voices just mixed so well but you just had to sit down and close your eyes and take it all in. I know that this song made a lot of babies. Sit back and enjoy it again.

Fire and Desire

After hearing this single then I move into Ooo La La La. Man Teena Marie was, is and forever will be a living legend in my heart. Rest In Peace Teena Marie you will be missed.

Toni Braxton Considering Posing For Playboy

Posted by Kenny On January - 5 - 2011

They say that sex sells and Toni Braxton is considering using it to revamp her career. On a tweet issued yesterday Toni states "I have been considering taking up Playboy's offer to feature me on their cover this year". She is basically asking her fan base if it is OK for her to consider such an idea. Would they go for it or would they outright not accept her anymore. I know that their are going to be a moderate number of individuals that would die to have a issue like this. But why is this such an option that most past stars use to revamp their careers. Playboy must be offering a huge amount of money for a star like Toni to even consider it.

Reading the tweets she states that playboy is not talking about a trashy photo shoot. They are talking about a tasteful photo shot. Toni states "NOT talking that kind of spread! No Susie!!!! Just a lil T and A. They have asked me about 3 times before". Now, I like T and A just like any guy, and she definitely has the body to pull this off, but I don't know about this one Toni. First of all she is now a mother of two boys and those T and A pictures will follow her for the rest of her life and may haunt her two boys who have to grow up knowing these facts. Also, it may not help her career especially since she announced her new reality TV show deal with Bravo. Well, I don't know now, all of this does make great reality TV show material.

What do you think?  Should she do a center fold for playboy?  Voice your opinion.

I’ve Found Peace – Original Poem By Kenneth Elliott

Posted by Kenny On January - 4 - 2011
Even though the winds my blow in my life I've found peace

Even though life does not give me what I want I've found peace

Even though my financial situation is dismal I've found peace

Even though my woes are great I've found peace

I've found peace because My Lord and Savior has given me peace,

I've found peace in my heart, mind and soul that no matter what happens in this life he will take care of me.

He has made a place for me on high, that this world has no more hold upon me.
That is how and why I have found peace.
