Keep Your Hair Healthy With Vitamins for Hair Growth

Posted by Kenny On October - 29 - 2010

Healthy hair will generally stay attached to your scalp. This is why it's important to add nutrients into your diet to maintain this health of your hair and use vitamins for hair growth. There are many nutrients your body needs to regulate the growth of your hair and maintain the health of your scalp.  If you want to keep all your hair healthy as can be, it's ideal to eat the optimal amount of nutrients so that you will be able to provide your body with the amount of protein, carbohydrates and limited amount of fat that it requires.

With that being said, if you're concerned with the amount of hair you leave behind on your hairbrushes or combs, maybe even the bathroom sink, it might be the time for you to eat more healthy foods and even omega 3 fatty acids. There are four foods that are known to contain a high amount of fatty acids. These are soy, fish, canola oil and walnuts. Just because you're concerned about hair loss does not necessarily mean that these are the only foods you should be consuming.

One other factor you need to consider is whether you are consuming enough iron wit the diet you currently have. Having little iron in your body has been shown to result in less hair. This is why it's so crucial to include it in a consistent diet. Some foods that have the iron you need include yeast, spinach, eggs, liver and broccoli. Try to add these foods  to everything you eat.

If your diet doesn't seem to be working, give it some time. If it still doesn't show results, consider using a few hair growth products. These produces will attempt to supplement  the right amount of minerals and vitamins your body needs for day to day activity and health. These are meant to substitute the nutrients you might not be getting through the foods you eat.

Most of these produces are known as "complex."This basically means that they are complicated substances that don't just work in one specific way. This is why it's so hard to explain why they work.

Ionic Hair Dryer Provides Better Results

Posted by Kenny On October - 26 - 2010

Have you ever experienced difficulty drying your hair? Are you tired of going through the day with wet and damp hair that weighs you down? Millions of people experience these problems every day as a result of an inferior hair dryer. Having damp hair can ruin your day before it even starts by making it difficult to function at work or school. This is a problem and one that most females have been forced to live with for a very long time. If you are tired of suffering from wet hair that the dryer will not provide results on then you should invest in an ionic hair dryer. These dryers are the solution to a wet hair day because they provide the results that they promise and do not cause damage to your hair.

One big difference that you will notice when using the ionic hair dryer is that the highest setting provides efficient distribution of heat. This helps to dry all of the hair without leaving some areas dry while others remained very damp. This is a problem with other dryers that you will not experience with the use of this product. Additionally, inexpensive dryers tend to use an extreme heat that can burn your hand and often damaged the hair. This makes your hair look bad and it can also make you feel bad about your appearance. The high setting on the ionic hair dryer will not leave you with hair that has been overly dried. It takes advantage of the advanced technology in order to provide an even distribution of heat to all areas of the hair. One of the most annoying aspects of most dryers is the cord and attempting to keep it out of the way during use or storage. The ionic hair dryer has a retractable cord and will store easily without the hassle. You can also purchase a hair dryer stand in order to dry your hair while taking advantage of both hands for styling.

How To Get The Rebonding Done Successfully!

Posted by saurabh.sahni280691 On October - 26 - 2010

Rebonding is a treatment of breaking the chemical bonds of hair, strengthen them and give them a straight sleek look. Whenever you look at someone with straight pointed hair and you compare yours with them, then that gives you a strange punch in the stomach. You often think of getting rebonding done to your hair but you wonder if that is going to be a successful phenomenon.

However, it should always be kept in mind about the nightmare that you may face if the rebonding goes wrong. It is preferable to find out on rebonding as much as possible before getting done as that helps you to be fully prepared for the treatment. And the process does not stop after getting rebonding done; the rebounded hair require touch up every three to six months, depending upon their growth.

THE PROCESS OF REBONDING

The time taken for the complete rebonding process depends upon the length of your hair but it usually varies between 8 to 10 hours.

  • The treatment starts with a hair wash by shampoo and then are completely dried using a hair blower.
  • Hair is then divided into various strings where the cream softener is applied to all the hair strings separately. The cream softener is kept on the hair for about half an hour. Keeping it for too long may result in the hair getting damaged.
  • Hair strings are them steamed for 10 to 40 minutes; that depends upon your hair type, and are then rinsed.
  • Again, hair are dried using the hair blower and a keratin lotion is put in contact with the hair.
  • Hair strings are now straightened using a long iron to break any left out curls. Id done correctly, it then results in straight and shiny hair.
  • The strings of hair are again formed and a neutralizer is applied to stabilize the hair. The neutralizer is usually kept for 30 odd minutes on the hair strings.
  • Hair strings are then washed with cold water to remove the neutralizer, followed by hair blower being blown and hair serum being applied.
  • Again, long iron is used to straighten the hair and give them a final silky and shiny touch.

Rebonding process does not end up here only. The follow up actions also need to be taken so as to keep the rebonding of hair for as long as possible. It is advisable not to wash the hair for at least three following days. Further, no accessory, hair band or any clip should be put on the hair for these three days. Hair shall not come in contact with water for these days; wearing a shower cap while taking a bath is a must. The point if rebonding is harmful for hair more or less depends upon how much you care and pamper your hair after the treatment. Taking after-rebonding precautions on regular basis would allow you to have shiny straight hair for a longer period of time.

Hair Color Which One Suits You The Most!

Posted by saurabh.sahni280691 On October - 22 - 2010

Getting your hair colored is not a difficult task but the task is to choose the right kind of hair color that would go as per your skin tone. Obviously, no one would like a hair color that would make them look like a fashion disaster so that defines the importance of the right kind of hair color to be chosen. Also, it is important to see if a single process color suits your hair or just the highlights would do. Another factor that needs to be decided is who is going to do it: you on your own or someone else as that depends upon the amount of coloring or highlight required.

For those who have pale skin, going for lighter hair color would be a better option as going for dark colors, like dark brown, would make you look older. Also, once you have colored your hair, keeping them healthy with required hair products is a must. The most popular hair color that people go for is red. Red is one such hair color that goes with every skin tone but what is important is to see which shade of red would suit you the best. However, it is best suggested to take a professional advice rather than trying any shade of red on you own.

The decision between applying a full hair color or whether to highlight your hair is a tricky one. For people with a great base hair tone, complementing your hair by highlighting them would be just perfect. But if your base color washes out your skin tone, go for a single processing color. Going for highlighting is a bit more expensive option than to go for single process color. If you are ready to experiment, go for two different highlights as that may even enhance your skin tone. Also, there comes something called semi-permanent colors that wash out after a few washes unlike the permanent ones that stay.

Some people, quite often, are not satisfied after they a hair color done. Do not yell at the hair stylist. Look for shampoo with ammonium laurel sulfate in the market and that would help you get rid of the color faster. And for those who love the color they got and want to enhance them for the longest period possible, there comes many color-enhancing shampoo and conditioners in the market. What they do is that they deposit the miniscule amounts of color into the hair and applying them once a week would do the job. Generally, a hair color lasts for 6 to 8 weeks but if you want it to stay longer, get your roots of hair touched up, either by your own using a specialized kit or go for a stylist to do the task. Researching and picking up advices from experts always help, but always remember, being natural is the best piece of advice you can get.

Rebonding or Straightening Which Is Better For Hair

Posted by saurabh.sahni280691 On October - 19 - 2010

As both, straightening and rebonding, result in the hair getting straight, it often gets confusing for the person to decide among the two. Both have their own pros and cons and it is an important decision to make as both last for quite a period of time and have their everlasting effects. On one hand, where straightening is supposed to last for round about two months, rebonding of hair remains for approximately six months. However, it is an important factor to keep in mind that if both, straightening and rebonding, are not done properly, they may lead to a big bunch of damaged hair.

Rebonding is process of getting hair straight using chemical treatment. It is said to last forever and therefore, is an expensive treatment. What it does is that it breaks the chemical bonds within the hair and then repairs the damaged hairs, thus, straightening them. The cream softener used in the rebonding procedure first breaks those chemical bonds and then the neutralizer bonds the structure again that overall results in straight hairs. The time taken depends upon the length of the hair and usually revolves around 8 hours. On the other hand, straightening involves hair irons, hot combs and chemical relaxers in the procedure. The relaxers contribute in the alteration of hair structure and the overall treatment does not affect the growth of new hair strands.

It is a known fact that rebonding requires extra pampering of hair after it is done, much more than straightening requires. Applying oil regularly, using shampoo and conditioner at regular intervals, putting natural remedies like curd or olive oil mixed with egg on the hair and applying hair cream on tower dried hair are some of the common requirements of rebounded hair. However, it is important to get rebonding done from a known salon as unspecialist hair stylists and bad products can turn rebonding into a disaster and the only way out would be to get a hair cut done. And if you suffer from falling of hair quite often, DO NOT go for any of these as any type of chemical treatment on your hair would do no good to your hair and instead, would damage them further.

Thus, if you are someone who can give time to your hair as required, then rebonding is just perfect for you. But if you love straight hairs but do not have the time to manage them everyday, go for straightening. It requires less care as compared to rebonding and is less costly as well. Remember, hair is one of the most vital part of your personality. Surely, you would not want to get into a bad dream where you have disastrous hair. But it is important to always keep in mind that the more natural it is, the better it is. Keep you hair as natural as possible for their betterment.

Women’s Hair Extension Techniques

Posted by Kenny On October - 13 - 2010

Many women choose to change their hairstyles often. They may want a cute and playful pixie cut one second and then wish that they had really long hair the next. Salons are basically there to satisfy each and every hair desires of women. One of the best things that have come out of the salon is hair extensions. Finally, women can change hairstyles to match the outfits they have for the day. Much like permanent eyelash extensions, there are different extension techniques that your stylist can utilize depending on the type of extension that you are getting.

Types of Hair Extensions

There are essentially two kinds of extensions – the wefted hair and the bulk hair. Wefted extensions are kept together with the help of a band of find threads. Wefted extensions can be done by a machine or by hand. Hand tied wefts are more expensive than the machine variety. Bulk extensions on the other hand do not have wefts. This type of extension is loose as compared to wefted extensions.

Track Extensions

Also called as the basic cord tracking technique, pinch weaving, micro weaving and track locking, this technique makes use of weft extensions and are done by positioning the tracks of hair horizontally and then weaving the extensions in a lock stitch. The tracks of hair are positioned rather close to the scalp. Although this technique results in long lasting extensions, it can be rather tough on the scalp and must be done with great care. The track technique can be done on natural or treated hair.

Cornrow Track Extensions

Just like the earlier technique, the cornrow technique makes use of wefted hair extensions. The technique is the oldest among all the other methods. This method is quite the same as track extensions only that instead of weaving lock stitch threads, cornrow braids are used to keep the tracks of hair in place. However, extensions done with this method need to be redone more often.

Strand Bonding

The strand bonding technique makes use of bulk hair and is done by attaching strands to small sections of hair. Adhesives are required to keep the hair intact. Extensions made with this technique can last from four to six months. If you're going to wear foundation makeup with the extensions, make sure to bled well into the hairline, because new hair extension jobs can pull the hair back from the scalp a little.

Whether or not you decide to get hair extensions, keep in mind that this can be a long, expensive procedure that will last for months, but you probably won't be able to easily remove your extensions if you change your mind. They can be a great beauty technique, but make sure you understand all the potential drawbacks first.

Hair Care During Summer

Posted by Kenny On October - 13 - 2010

Have you ever felt that you are sporting a bad hairstyle or hair cut during Summer? Your hair stylist is not always the one at fault.

Sea, sun and heat, the triad that will make you lose hair during the summer. The sun, sea and the heat damages the thin film of sebum that ensures the proper protection of your hair. Result: the hair is dry, coarse, rebellious and difficult to style. The goal is to restore luster to the hair and the brightness of yesteryear.

If the summer is beneficial for your skin and health, seawater, sand, wind, on the other hand, will attack your scalp. Damaged, the hair becomes rough to the touch and eventually breaks. The first thing to do to repair hair damaged by the vagaries of holiday is to wash it. This can seem obvious, but a beautiful hair depends on good hygiene.  Shampoo (at least one to two times per week) your hair with a sweet and nourishing special dry hair shampoo which will help restore the brilliance and sparkle of your hair.

For the best results, your must massage the scalp with your fingertips. This process activates the blood circulation. Afterwards wash your hair in cold water. This is not easy for many person to do but it is the best way for the hair to regain its smooth and silky texture.

A dry hair  is partly due to a lack of sebum. There are many nourishing hair care products that will help fill that loss. Any mask, emulsion or spray products for dry hair will revive the hair. At a rate of once or twice a week, your hair will gain  flexibility and softness. The hair is regenerated to its depth in the dermis.

Hint: Put  a warm and damp towel on your mask for a few minutes; its action will be more effective.

The shampoo alone is not sufficient to restore health and shine to your hair. To put the odds on your side, choose a conditioner such as nutri-gloss spray from L'Oreal. Made from a protein of pearl and citrus, it revives the dry hair and make it shine like a gloss. Day after day the hair regains its health and shine. It will feel soft as cashmere.

Also any wax will smooth scales on the hairs to prevent the occurrence of forks. You may think of using a cordless curling iron to style your hair.

Finally, note that hair does not like heat, so avoid therefore showers that are too hot and use a wall mounted hair dryer to dry your hair. Repeated brushings are also prohibited.

As a last piece of advice, it is needless to go into an endless fight. A short haircut is the trick. It will eliminate these forks and you will have a new look for the fall season.
